Why Wayven

Safety. Consistency. Transparency.

Transparency

Accountability you can show your board

Driver vetting, compliance monitoring, vehicle standards, and a documented record of every trip event. When a parent or auditor asks, the answer is already on file.

Real visibility

You see what we see

Live GPS tracking, arrival confirmation, and structured no-show documentation. No phone-tag with a dispatcher to find out where a student is.

Customized rides

Built around each student's needs

We partner with your school district to provide trips tailored to every student, whatever the distance, schedule, or safety equipment. One student or many, we right-size the ride to fit them.

Real partnership

Local operators, not a faceless broker

We invest in the providers who actually drive these routes, with technology, recruitment support, and steady work, so service quality holds up all year.

For parents

Parent of a Wayven rider?

We're honored to be part of your child's school day. Before the first ride, we reach out to confirm your child's route, pickup time, and any safety equipment needs. Then we pair your student with a consistent driver, so they see a familiar face each morning and can simply enjoy the ride to school.

How it works

How does riding with Wayven work?

  1. Your district requests a route. Your school district requests transportation for your student. We prepare the run, the schedule, and any safety equipment or care needs.
  2. We match a vetted local driver. Wayven assigns a credentialed driver from our partner network, confirms compliance, and locks in the schedule with you and your district.
  3. Confirm details. We reach out by text or call to confirm your child's route, pickup time, and any safety equipment needs.
  4. Communicate any changes. Contact your school district's transportation office to make any changes, or let us know and we'll coordinate with your district.
  5. Be ready. Please meet your driver at the scheduled pickup time, just as you would meet a school bus. We recommend being a few minutes early 🙂

Common questions

What parents ask us

How do I know who is driving my student?

Before your student's first ride, we share their driver and vehicle information with you, so you know exactly who is picking them up.

How are Wayven drivers qualified?

Every driver is vetted through background checks, motor vehicle record reviews, and drug testing. They also complete courses in defensive driving, best practices for supporting students, and safety equipment training.

Will my student have the same driver every day?

We aim for consistent driver assignments so your student sees a familiar face each morning.

What if our schedule or address changes?

Contact your school district's transportation office, or let us know, and we'll update the route. Flexibility is part of what we're built for.
